We do not ship livestock (fish and plants), frozen foods or heavy and fragile items (aquariums).

We sell and ship only to Australian addresses. 

Shipping is through Australia Post and deliveries are made during business hours Monday to Friday (other than Public Holidays).

Shipping fees will be added to the total at the checkout.

We do not take responsibility for goods damaged during shipping.

It is your responsibility to ensure acceptance of all deliveries and provide a signature as proof of delivery if required. Any redelivery or refusal will incur additional charges.

Items sent may be left at the address provided (Authority to Leave) where the courier deems it safe to do so. We accept no responsibility for items left unattended at the delivery address. Please provide an address where someone will be available to accept delivery if you do not wish for the item to be left.

Sustainable packaging

Wherever possible, we ship goods using Hero Pack mailers, which are 100% certified compostable. These mailers are made from cassava root and cornstarch and can be disposed of in green waste kerbside collection bins, or cut into pieces and put in a home compost bin. For more delicate items, we ship using cardboard postboxes which are recyclable or compostable. We also use Hero Honeycomb Hex Wrap packaging which is made from 100% recycled FSC paper and can be either reused, recycled or composted.


All prices are in Australian Dollars and are correct at the time of purchase but are subject to change without notice.

All payments are charged in Australian Dollars ($AUD).

We accept Paypal, Visa and MasterCard.

Online orders will not be shipped until payment has been received in full. Goods purchased in store will not be provided until payment has been made in full

All online credit card transactions are secured using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption. All credit card information is processed by a third party merchant, Tyro, and complies with their strict privacy and security policies.

An order submitted by you is an offer by you to purchase the goods for the price as specified at the time.

By placing an order with Aztec Aquarium you confirm that you are over the age of 18 years.

By placing an order with this site you are entering a contract to purchase the items. You confirm you have the authority to utilise the payment method used.

Any fees or charges incurred by us due to unpaid or fraudulently charged back invoices will be added to the principle debt. We reserve the right to utilise debt collection agencies or to pursue court action to recover monies owed of any amount.


Aztec Aquarium is a South Australian business, and as such, all transactions are deemed to have taken place in South Australia and are subject to the laws of South Australia.

Your purchase or placement of an order constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions as set out on this page.


Online orders can only be cancelled in writing and prior to shipping.  A 20% cancellation fee will be applied and the balance of the payment refunded.

Dry Goods

Change of Mind

If you change your mind about your purchase and it is unused and unopened (other than the exclusions below), you can request a store credit but please understand we are not obligated to do so and it may not be granted. Please contact us on (08) 7120 7364, or email

We cannot accept returned livestock due to our disease management protocols.

We cannot accept returned food and supplement items due to hygiene reasons.

We do not accept returns on special order items.

Shipping costs incurred are not refundable.

If we agree to accept returned goods for change of mind purchases, it is your responsibility to return the goods directly to the store at 33-35 Glen Osmond Road, Eastwood SA 5063, or ship the goods at your expense.

A store credit will only be issued after receipt of the returned goods, provided that they are in as new condition, unopened and unused, and returned within 14 days of purchase.

We recommend you purchase freight insurance when returning goods. All returns must be packaged securely to prevent damage in transit. Goods which are damaged in transit or prior to their delivery in store will not be accepted. 

You must contact us for approval prior to shipping returned goods back to us.

Faulty Goods

If your good are faulty, please contact us on (08) 7120 7364, email or bring the goods back to our store, and tell us exactly how the goods are faulty.

Faulty products will be processed according Australian Consumer Law and the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. Australian Consumer Law states that retailers have the right to inspect and confirm any reported fault.

If the returned product is found to be faulty, the item may be repaired, replaced, or a refund issued.

The cost of shipping to return the faulty product to us is your responsibility, however if the product is found to be faulty and the item is repaired or a replacement item is provided, this will be returned to you at our cost.

You must contact us prior to shipping returned goods back to us.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives damaged or with a missing or incorrect item, you must notify us via email within one day of delivery.

For damaged goods, we will require photographs of the item(s), internal and external packaging and barcodes. We may require the damaged item be returned to us, packaged securely with all original packaging and parts.  Until the item has been returned, it will not be replaced or repaired.

Claims are void if proof of damage is not provided following a claim, either by photographs or item return, within 14 business days of you notifying us of the damage.

Incorrect items must be returned in as new, unused condition suitable for resale.


Under the Australian Consumer Law, automatic consumer guarantees apply to many products and services you buy regardless of any other warranties the manufacturers give you. However, it is still important to understand how these warranties apply to goods or services you buy. Warranty terms are varied so please refer to the product details to check for warranty terms.

Customers are bound by the warranty conditions and obligations provided by the manufacturer for each individual product. Breaching warranty conditions and obligations voids any warranty cover provided by the manufacturer or Aztec Aquarium. We will not be liable for any fault, loss or damage occurring due to the customers failure to adhere to warranty conditions and obligations.

Please be aware that warranties do not cover wear and tear or misuse of the product.
